speaking out for human rights

Amnesty International Film Festival 2006
Fri Nov 17 / Sat Nov 18 / Sun Nov 19
University of Victoria

David Lam Auditorium (MacLaurin Building)
Tickets: All screenings by donation. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Description: This film festival shows various human rights related films made by people from all over the world. These powerful films are shown to raise awareness and to encourage people to translate what they have seen into meaningful action. This year marks our fourth annual human rights film festival in Victoria.

Testimonial: "Last year the movies were very well made and I would have to say it was an eye-opening experience. They have speakers come in to briefly talk about the issues portrayed in the films, and this really gives a human element to the movie and makes it all the more powerful. I definitely, definitely, definitely recommend everyone to attend this film festival." -anonymous UVic Student.

I know of some AIESECers [Me, Amanda, Natali] who are planning to watch the 7:15pm showing of Uganda Rising , so try and come out to that with us.
